Christmas gift ideas
It's late - very late - and depending on what kind of Christmas shopper you are, you will either be
sitting smugly on a pile of neatly wrapped gifts for all your nearest and dearest already, or
scratching your head and wondering at the existence of such a specimen of organisation and
foresight. If you are the first type of Christmas shopper then perhaps you'll find something below
that you can add to your own wishlist, and if you're the last-minute shopper, you should find some
inspiration here for the cyclist in your life.
Socks
Socks may seem a boring place to start, but any adult, cyclist, person with feet, learns eventually
that socks are something you can never have enough of. We've got a vast array of socks on the
site with everything from sensible fluoro from Altura, to festive polka-dots from Specialized and
winter waterproofs from Sealskinz.

Recovery nutrition
If in doubt, you can't go wrong with stuffing a stocking full of energy bars, hydration tabs or fresh
bidons (water bottles). If nothing else, some High Five Active Hydration tabs will do a wonderful job
of sorting you and your family out on Boxing Day morning!

Bike components and accessories
Accessorising the bike needn't be an expensive business, but it can yield pretty significant gains if
you're clever about it. A new chain in particular can improve the efficiency of your, or your friend's,
ride no end, while a fresh wrap of bar tape adds that little bit of glitter or the cherry on the cake that
makes every ride more enjoyable.
Tools
No cyclist should be without certain items. The wherewithal to get home after a puncture is one of
the more essential, with cleaning kit a fairly close second. A clean bike is a happy bike (and one
which works!).

Headgear
For the cyclist who has everything, there are still options available. The socks listed above are a
safe buy, as is a cotton casquette or snug winter hat for those long base miles. You can never
have enough hats.
Jersey
For cyclists, jerseys are one of the few canvasses available for customisation and making a
statement in a land of black and yellow. Long-sleeve, short-sleeve, race-fit or relaxed, we've got
plenty of choice on the site.

Action camera
Filming a bike ride is standard practise these days and one of the more popular high quality
cameras on the market is the Cycliq Fly 12 which also acts as a front light. Capturing footage in
stunning HD, the Cycliq is perfect for urban documentary or grabbing a snapshot of sketchy
descents at home or abroad.
New wheels
Everyone's favourite upgrade, perhaps barring the increasingly popular bike fit, is a brand new
wheelset. Whether you're upgrading from stock wheels or going after a pair of carbon deep
sections, you'll find something on our site to suit application and budget. And if you can't stretch to
a new wheelset for yourself or your friends, you could do a lot worse than getting a pair of award-
winning, fast-rolling Vittoria Corsa G road tyres.

New bike
Feeling generous? What more could a cyclist dream of at Christmas than a whole new bike? There
are so many perfect specimens on the market at the moment that it's difficult to know where to
start, but whatever the discipline, you can be sure there's something to suit any budget for any
terrain, from entry-level to World Tour pro.

As you can imagine, we've barely scraped the surface of the vast selection that would suit a cyclist
at Christmas. If nothing tickles your fancy here, your best bet is to come on into our Chester store
and one of our team will be more than happy to assist you this festive season.
